Summit Retreat


 

The Summit suite is a large three-room suite separated by beautiful antique Victorian pocket doors. A large period bath with Jacuzzi for two, King sized bed and spacious beautifully decorated sitting room with couch makes this suite a favorite. The private front porch beckons you to sit and enjoy the Historic loop or enjoy outdoor dining at your own bistro table. A private outside entrance to this suite assures privacy.

Carriage House

The Carriage House is like stepping into a romantic French County cottage. This private on site cottage is decorated with country antiques and French bedding. A queen sized bed on the main floor, and a double bed in the open loft of this cottage makes it the perfect cottage for up to four. This cottage features a one person Jacuzzi/standup shower, full kitchen, and a secluded private deck overlooking the gardens.

Rose Cottage

Rose Cottage has been featured in Elle Decor Magazine (June/July 1992) and the book "American Country Cottages" by Mary Emmerling (1993.)

Snuggle into the comfy bay window filled with antique lace and fabric pillows. Throw open the old Gothic styled cypress windows and gaze down at the garden that spills over the hillside.

There are two beautifully designed sleeping areas to choose from. Upstairs you will find dreamy romantic decor where you can sink into a queen-size bed and enjoy a spectacular view through dramatic palladium windows. Downstairs you can nap in an antique four-poster walnut spindle bed, nestled in a cozy open room. A true fantasy experience awaits you at the Rose Cottage.

The Rose Cottage is considered nightly lodging; therefore breakfast is not served. There is a full kitchen with refrigerator, 2-burner hot plate, griddle, coffee pot (coffee and condiments provided) and microwave for your use. Rose cottage has quaint historic charm and as a result: bring with you a selection of DVD’s or tape cassettes/CD's as there is no cable TV, no local phone or Wifi available at the cottage. Contact to the outside world will be via your cell phone if you choose to even turn it on.

You will be going into a magical time warp that will transport you back in time so you can refresh, relax and maybe even find some romance. If you saw the movie, Somewhere in Time, then you can imagine what magical experience awaits you at Rose Cottage. Filled with priceless antiques, old chinz fabric covered pillows and chairs, floral hooked rugs and lace curtains Rose Cottage will enchant you in its charm. The bay window overlooking the gardens is atumble with pillows, so cozy up and bring a good book to read.
