For 33 years David worked in the healthcare industry starting as an RN in the Neonatal Intensive Care unit of Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston, Texas. After completing dual Masters degrees, he moved into hospital administration of non- profit and for- profit hospitals, completing his health care career as Senior Vice President of a hospital in Oklahoma.

Seeking a dramatic life change and to compliment life goals, David bought Heart of the Hills to fulfill a life long dream. Back in the 1980's when David worked in Little Rock, he frequented Eureka Springs and dreamed of moving here one day and owning a B&B.

Well dreams do come true.

Shirlee: an LPN by vocation, and David's mother moved to Eureka Springs to assist David in the B&B. Shirlee is an accomplished artist and many of her paintings hang in the suites. Some are even for sale.
